Dear Prospective Volunteer,

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the North Jefferson Women’s Center. Volunteers carry out the daily services of the Women’s Center, and without them very little would be accomplished.  We are always in need of volunteers: receptionists, lay-counselors, abstinence and medical presenters for schools, nurses and ultrasound technicians.  Training is available for these positions, so a servant’s heart and dedication are the only advance requirements.

A volunteer’s strongest motivation should always be service to our Lord.  If He puts it on your heart to minister with us, it is a commitment to Him, and we would encourage you to remain faithful to Him even when Satan tries to discourage you.

The heart of this ministry is love  - love for all the clients no matter how adverse the circumstances.  We desire to be caring and supportive and to show the love of Jesus, but also to tell the truth in love.

The Lord has gifted each of us in various ways, and it is so interesting to get to know people and see these gifts at work.  Using your God-given abilities for the Lord is so rewarding, and I believe has a lot to do with our fulfillment and self-esteem.

Below, you’ll find desciptions of the various volunteer positions at the Center as well as in the Character/Abstinence Education program.

We hope you will prayerfully consider what area of our ministry the Lord would want you to be involved in at the North Jefferson Women’s Center.

With you in His service,

Nancy Shaffer, Director
